Built in the late 1950s, the Triangle Inn Palm Springs is today recognized as one of Palm Springs’ architectural treasures. Palm Springs architect Hugh M. Kaptur, of Hugh M. Kaptur A.I.A. and Associates, recalls the inn as one of his first designs as a budding architect in his 20s. He has since gone on to design as many as 100 Palm Springs buildings. At the time it was built, the Triangle Inn (which then carried the Impala name) was a definite departure from the little square box structures that had been the signature of the era in Palm Springs.

Today the Inn offers a variety of accommodations ranging from studios and junior suites to spacious one and two bedroom suites. The triangular house with vast expanses of glass remains the centerpiece of the private walled compound that also includes two separate buildings housing the guest suites, lush tropical gardens, a large sundeck, cozy breakfast area, and pool and jacuzzi.
