  • One of the worlds most popular and beautiful nude beaches
  • Occasional citations given in the southern section (city side) or the beach. Northern (gay) section is on State Beach land and citations are generally for lewd acts only.
  • Nudity everywhere on 3+ mile secluded beach
  • Open everyday
  • 100’s to 1000’s of nudists on holiday weekends
  • Extremely Gay, especially northern section
  • Sexual Activity- High at sunset on the beach and anytime in area behind the beach and in upper northern parking lot. Citations for lewd acts given regularly.
  • Extremely difficult and dangerous access to beach
  • No facilities on the beach, pack in coolers or buy drinks from beach vendors who walk the beach on weekends
  • On weekends many gawkers hike in from the extreme north at Torry Pines State Park. Sometimes families stumble upon this area on a beach trek and are first indoctrinated to beach at the gay and friskier area so don’t be caught jerking off by the shore or you may get arrested
Directions: From downtown take Interstate 5 north to Genesee. Exit and go west. Turn left onto Torrey Pines Road.  Turn west onto Torrey Pines Scenic Drive to the glider port parking lot. There are two lots and two trails down to the beach. The northern trail and parking lot is the most direct to the gay section but EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. There are no stairs and it is a dirt goat trail that switch backs down the 400-foot cliff with no railings.  The southern trail south of the glider port (a prefab building with sodas, shower and restrooms) is a better-maintained trail (by beachgoers, the city does not do improvements to the trail since they do not want to sanction nude use of the beach) with hand made stairs and a rope to hold onto in difficult areas. This trail will drop you off about 1-½ miles south of the gay area, but the hike along the beach is filled with enough eye candy that even a dentist will get hard. NOTE! There are many accidents to trail goers on both of these trails. The cliffs are over 400 feet tall and each year there are fatalities by trail goers. Wear sneakers, go slowly up and down the trail and refrain from drinking alcohol or doing drugs if you are going to hike these trails.
