Directions: From Pasadena take Interstate 210 and exit onto the Angeles Crest Hwy. /SR-2 and head northeast for almost 9.5 miles. Turn left onto Angeles Forest Hwy/CR-N3. Buy your day-use permit here before continuing on. Continue 8.5 miles through the mountains towards Palmdale. Turn right onto Upper Big Tujunga Canyon Road (there is a sign opposite the road that indicates 22 miles to Palmdale and 20 miles to Glendale).  Do not mistake this road for the other road Big Tujunga Canyon Road. Drive to mile marker 4.5 and park. The creek is along mileposts 4.5 and 4.8. The gayest part of the area is a few hundred feet from a lone grove of pine tress. There are a number of swimming holes.
