Key West is an exciting destination for gay men. In the latest OUT Traveler readers’ survey, Key West got more votes as ‘Best Resort’ than Palm Springs, Ft Lauderdale, or Miami Beach. And for the gay naked traveler, Key West surely ranks tops.

Whether you are looking for relaxation, action, sightseeing or adventure Key West has something to offer.

Key West is a real party town. And much of that partying is naked. Several bars including KWEST Men and Bourbon Street offer completely nude dancers. They also have VIP rooms where you can get a closer look at that naked dancer! Several bars, including the 801 and the bar at Island House allow patrons to be completely nude.

There are many parties during the year allow partiers to get naked: including the Key West Wreckers Leather and Levi Club which hosts a party (usually at Island House) on the Sunday night of every holiday weekend: the underwear parties at Bourbon Street usually on the second Saturday night of each month; and the annual Tropical Heat event in May which is dedicated to nude gay entertainment.

There are other nude activities in Key West, including gay snorkeling trips and kayak adventures. There is a nude beach and cruising ground on Boca Chica Key, about 10 miles from Key West.

There are several clothing-optional guesthouses and resorts in Key West. Island House was voted ‘best gay resort in the world’ in the recent OUT Traveler readers’ poll. It features a complete health club with gym, sauna, and steamroom; two Jacuzzis, a heated pool, café and bar and a ‘video lounge’ open 24 hours a day. The Oasis, Coral Tree, Coconut Grove, Equator, and New Orleans House are men-only guesthouses that allow nude sunbathing. Atlantic Shores is a motel-style resort for men and women that features nude sunbathing. Atlantic Shores is also the site of the famous Sunday night T-dance where men have been known to get naked.

Has any one been to the Island house in Key West. The ads look great but I want to get someone's opinion. Also if anyone has been there is it a couples kinda place or are singles welcome?

I have lived in Key West for over 30 years and the Island House has always been a gay men's guesthouse. They did some major renovations a few years ago and the place looks really great. They do a day pass for locals, have lockers, and the entire property is nude if you so desire. Singles are more than welcome.

I have stayed at the Oasis and it is wonderful. Very congenial, attentive staff, and a nice class of guests. Nudity arond the pool and adjacent areas is pretty much the norm and it is 100% all male. Really nice place
