Review: La Posada Palm Springs PDF Print E-mail
If you're looking for a place to stay in Palm Springs, you can't go wrong by choosing La Posada.  There are actually two La Posada resorts - East & West.  Both a managed by some hot and hunky Canadians- Scott, Murray, Gord, and Drew.  They're friendly and like to stay as naked as possible - which we really appreciate!

We stayed at La Posada East.  We were met by Murray when we arrived who invited us to the social hour being held at La Posada West which is about three weeks away.

thumb_PS 021.jpgLa Posada west has a nice sized pool surrounded by lounge chairs.  The resort has a desert feel with xeroscape landscaping composed of cactus and other drought resistant plants.  A large spa is surrounded by a ring of palm trees.  At night it's wonderful to sit in the spa and gaze upwards to the stars.  The air is so clear here that the stars seem brighter and more plentiful.  I've often seen shooting stars while in Palm Springs.

Our hosts were only able to serve soda, water, and juice.  It seems the California Liquor Board in all their wisdom consider it illegal to have a social hour and provide free drinks to guests.  But despite the lack of strong drinks, the crowd was all very friendly and had a great time.  We met other hot and friendly men from Los Angeles, San Diego, Wisconsin, and points beyond.

Our comfortable room featured a king sized bed, small sofa, and ceiling fan.  A kitchenette included a sink, microwave, and refridgerator.  The bathroom had a shower with the best water pressure I've ever seen and featured Aveda toiletries.

Breakfast is served daily and includes cereals, yogurt, bagels, pastries, and other items.

La Posada East is friskier than the West location.  There's an outdoor shower large enough for two.... or more!  Located in a private area of the property is a large sling and St Andrews cross.  A TV is nearby for watching your favorite porn while lying on a rather comfortable outdoor bed.

Pool Party At La PosadaDuring our last day at La Posada saw a pool party benefitting a local non-profit organization.  The party attracted a number of porn stars and other hot men.

Both properties are located near the Palm Springs village center.  You could walk down Palm Canyon drive to shops, restaurants, and stores.  But hey, this is California and we don't walk here.  You'll want to take your car.  But Palm Springs overs more free parking than any other city I've been to.  Just take a right off Palm Canyon when you're downtown and you'll stumble upon one of the many free parking lots.

Arenas Street and Indian Canyon is the epicenter of gay shopping in Palms Springs.  You'll find Gay Mart, Pride Nation, Bear Wear and more.  The world famous Hunter's video & dance bar is here too.  We met the owner of Hunter's in Fort Launderdale a few years ago -- a wonderful guy and a bar we recommend.

A number of other bars are also nearby - the Tool Shed, Heaven, and the Barracks.  If you're in Palm Springs on a Sunday afternoon be sure to check out the beer bust at the Barracks.

La Posada - tell them the guys at Gay Naked Travel sent you!  For more information, see their listing in our directory at http://www.gaynakedtravel.com/component/option,com_mtree/task,viewlink/link_id,7/Itemid,0/
